STREAM: Inviting your guests to the best wedding day platform

Remember sweethearts Lachlan and Meagan? They married at the National Gallery of Australia back in April. There were 5 people in attendance on the day - Michael the celebrant, Doug the photographer, Lachlan’s sister, and the happy couple themselves.

But who you didn’t see were the 30 people in virtual attendance (double the original guest list), some bleary eyed, sitting on their couches in pyjamas on the other side of the world - perfectly respectable wedding attire in the year 2020.

It was an early start/end to the day for the Canadians, but from all reports, the best day of the year and worth the wait.

Now that you’ve read about their unconventional, rainy, fairy-tale day, we wanted to take you behind the scenes and provide some information about what led them to settle on Facebook Live to stream to their guests. Check out the flow chart that Lachlan and Meagan developed to help you decide what streaming platform is best to invite your guests to for your big day.

Thanks to Lachlan and Meagan for recording their experience in his helpful flow chart, and for allowing us to share it with our Canberra Celebrants community!
